Mojo Dojo Comedy is proud to present MKE Riffs, a new, monthly movie riffing comedy show in the style of “Mystery Science Theater 3000.” Every month, MKE Riffs host Matthew Filipowicz and a special guest comedian will present a live running comedic commentary on some of the worst films ever made.

Tackling a different, terrible film every month, MKE Riffs is proud to kick off their run at Mojo Dojo with a skewering of the 2014 end-of-days rapture fantasy ”Left Behind”, starring Nicolas Cage. (Not to be confused with the 2000 end-of-days rapture fantasy “Left Behind,” starring Kirk Cameron). October’s guest riffer will be Chicago comedian Tim Grimes of sketch group the Accountants of Homeland Security.

“Nicolas Cage has given the world some of the most ridiculous acting performances ever captured on film,” Matthew Filipowicz said. “It is only fitting that we honor that contribution by mocking both him, and this far-right religious propaganda piece masquerading as a film, mercilessly.”
